In 2008, the 1st Asian Beach Games were held on Indonesia’s Bali Island, with two main sporting event types: Beach Sports & Water Sports. There were a total of 17 sporting events, including Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer, Beach Handball, and Water Skiing. 6,200 athletes from 45 Asian countries and regions participated in the Games.
