On the morning of November 12nd, 2020, the opening ceremony of “Beautiful Sanya Lishan Distillery Cup” Beach Handball Invitational 2020 was held at the Beach Handball Venue, Tianya-Haijiao, Sanya. According to Bao Hongwen, Deputy Secretary of the Sanya Municipal Party Committee and Acting Mayor of Sanya City, beach handball is one of the sports that will be played during The Sixth Asian Beach Games Sanya 2020 (hereinafter referred to as “The Games”) as well as a fun beach sport. It’s the perfect combination of the golden beach, blue sea, fierce competition, and seaside entertainment.

The Sixth Asian Beach Games Sanya 2020 Organizing Committee will spare no effort to ensure the operation of the invitational while carefully adhering to epidemic prevention and control.

The invitational was hosted by the Sanya Government and lasted for 2 days. The beach handball competition included a Men’s and Women’s division, and featured the national youth beach handball team as well as eight other teams from Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong, and several other locations.
